TABLITIM© provide a unique way to designate the honoree for an aliyah. A tablit is a 2 inch x 5 inch stencil-cut token fashioned of either solid brass or solid pewter intended to replace the paper card usually used in the Torah service.
Ten TABLITIM©are nested in a velvet-lined solid cherry wood case. A brass engraved plate fastened to the case could memorialize a loved one, or commemorate a special event, such as a bar or bat mitzvah, wedding, or anniversary.
TABLITIM© provide an opportunity for a congregant or a group of congregants to contribute a significant and long-lasting addition to the sacred objects of the synagogue or temple.
