Throughout his long and prestigious career as a tabla player, he has accompanied such nationally and internationally-reknowned vocalists as Gulam Ali Khan, Hussain Buksh (Gulu), Pervaiz Mehdi, Ustad Walton Dass and Ustad Nazakat Ali Khan. His early tabla training was with his father, the highly-acclaimed musician and teacher, Ustad Allah Dita Khan. Later, he became a disciple of Ustad Shukat Hussain Khan. His many awards include the Pakistan Arts Circle in 2002. As a teacher, Ustad Munir Ahmed Khan has trained many tabla players in Pakistan, Kuwait and New York.
